When should we arrive and how long should we stay?
Entirely up to you! However, we would recommend at least the 3rd to the 6th/7th for our guests flying in. We have arranged for some events beginning in the early evening of the 3rd and even a 'recovery' day after the wedding.
What do you recommend for flights?
It's a quick 3-hour flight from Toronto! For those travelling from Ontario - West Jet, Porter (beginning November), and Air Canada are the most obvious choices, and most flight options are morning flights. Flying from Buffalo is another great option - they are quick layover flights.
Are there dress codes?
YES - specifically at Lyford Cay Club - No jeans, no cargo shorts, no graphic T's...etc. Dinner jackets are required in some restaurants for dinner, and collared shirts are generally encouraged & expected. In general, you will feel your best in slightly more elevated attire.
If you are staying at Lyford and wish to play Tennis - all white tennis attire is required while on the courts.
Lyford Cay Club Rules?
So glad you asked - yes. Generally, just good etiquette and manners are always expected. Lyford does not allow cell phones, particularly during any type of dining, but it's best to keep them discreet at all times on the property.
Are Kids Welcome to the Wedding?
As much as we love your little ones, the Wedding is really an adult-only celebration, please.
Which Airport Will We Fly Into?
You will land at Lynden Pindling International Airport - it's 10 minutes from the wedding & events locations! A valid passport is required for entry into the country. When going through immigration/filling out the forms... you are here for vacation - keep it simple!
Do you have gift registry?
No. Please don't feel obligated to get a gift. Your presence means everything to us and is a gift enough!
Transportation Options?
Taxis are available as soon as you exit the airport. You may also pre-book transfers with the following companies:
Smith Transportation (242-557-9078) OR Bahamas Experience Tours (242-397-5000)
OR Shanica (242-457-2828)
*There are unfortunately no Uber/Rideshare apps on the island, and most taxis are CASH ONLY.
